Don't miss out on this FREE summer movie series. Join the fun and watch Mary Poppins, Hook and Over the Hedge! Movies start at dusk...

For more info: CLICK HERE

Aug 13: Mary Poppins
The movie combines a diverting story, songs, color and sequences of live action blended with the movements of animated figures. Mary Poppins is a kind of Super-nanny who flies in with her umbrella in response to the request of the Banks children and proceeds to put things right with the aid of her rather extraordinary magical powers before flying off again. Aug 20: Hook
Peter Pan (Williams) has grown up to be a cut-throat merger and acquisitions lawyer, and is married to Wendy's granddaughter. Captain Hook (Hoffman) kidnaps his children, and Peter returns to Never Land with Tinkerbell (Roberts). With the help of her and the Lost Boys, he must remember how to be Peter Pan again in order to save his children by battling with Captain Hook once again. Written by Ed Sutton

Aug 27: Over the Hedge
Traveling raccoon con artist, RJ, arrives in a woods outside a human city in the Midwest, excited about the wonders that living near humans can bring hungry animals. What he finds, however, is an Amish-like community that is deathly afraid of humans, after their leader, Vern the tortoise (Shandling), has an encounter with human boys that terrifies him. Encouraged by RJ, however, the animals slowly venture over the hedge that separates them from the brand new suburban development that appeared over the winter while they were sleeping, and what RJ shows them is a whole new world where humans leave tin cans full of fish and other food in big canisters, ripe for the taking. As they get closer and closer to humans, however, their comfortable lives in the woods appears to be threatened...

“Secretariat” screens at dusk Friday at Evers Sports Park in Templeton. Although the screening is free and includes popcorn, parking is $5 per carload.

Housewife and mother Penny Chenery agrees to take over her ailing father's Virginia-based Meadow Stables, despite her lack of horse-racing knowledge. FREE movie screen in Templeton this Friday night (August 12, 2011)!

“The Philadelphia Story” screens under the stars this Friday night at Veris Cellars, 1266 N. Bethel Road in Templeton.

The free screening, which starts at 8 p.m., comes complete with candy, popcorn and, of course, locally crafted wine (for a small fee). Call 434-0319 for more information.

A younger Kate Hepburn finds herself at the center of a comical love triangle in “The Philadelphia Story.”

Wealthy Philadelphia socialite Tracy Lord (Hepburn) married charming, handsome C.K. Dexter Haven (Cary Grant) in a moment of passion, then divorced him when his drinking got out of control. Now she’s got a new beau — aspiring politician George Kittredge (John Howard).

Who should show up at their wedding other than Dexter, accompanied by two tabloid journalists in disguise?

Tracy must chose between her ex-husband, her husband-to-be and an enterprising reporter (Jimmy Stewart) who has his own designs on the lovely lady.
