Get Cute and Cozy at Old Navy’s Bundle-Up Bash!

My friends and I were finally able to schedule a night when we could all go. Luckily, Old Navy is open until 11 pm for the holiday season so we went this past Wednesday night (Dec 7th) between 8-10 pm. I invited my sister-in-law Sarah, my BFF Corinne and one of my new girlfriends Becca. I was so excited to finally make this happen!! It's so hard managing people's schedules sometimes. ;)

I am so happy to have been chosen for this sample share! For this party, my friends and I are lucky enough to be able to pick out a sweater, pants and one of the winter accessories (hat, scarf or gloves)!!! Such an awesome opportunity to share with wonderful people!!!

Anyway, we didn't do anything "extra" for the party. We basically just went in and attacked the store! It was nice walking in and seeing that there weren't really anyone else in the store. I think we might have just found the secret to shopping at Old Navy...shop after 8! We were sooooo excited to see so many different varieties of styles and colors offered for the sweaters, pants and winter accessories. We filled up our shopping carts, as if we had just won the lottery or something. I should have taken pictures of that. We had them overflowing. Lol.

We had a lot of fun trying on the outfits and pairing them up with the winter accessories. Old Navy has some of the cutest hats and scarves, and it's great that they are so affordable. There were soooooo many sweaters and pants to choose from. I think I tried on every single sweater. Some looked much better on the hanger. Ha.

The sweaters were really soft and I liked how versatile some of really are. I was just bummed to find that some of the ones I really wanted were no longer available in my size. Sarah, Corinne, Becca and I all wore different sizes and had different tastes so it was interesting to see what outfits we would come up with. We came up with some pretty funky ones, I think. We had a lot of fun checking each other out and ofcourse, making fun of each other too.

There were so many jeans and other bottoms to choose from! I think that was our biggest challenge...finding the right pair that looked good and felt "right". A lot of the pants I tried on looked great on...others not so much. Some of the jeans had pockets that made it look weird on. Becca is super skinny and I thought those same pants would look good on her but they still looked pretty funny with the pockets "sticking out" to the sides. Corinne tried on some pants that really looked good on her, as they accentuated her bottom while they didn't do much for me. Lol.

Sarah was probably the only one that was able to make a decision right away, while we all struggled to choose. Soooo many to choose from!

Overall, we had a great time!!! Thank you Old Navy and Crowdtap for this wonderful opportunity!! We heart you. :)

Get Fab & Fit in Active by Old Navy!

Old Navy's Activewear "Compression" line has been a fabulous asset to my wardrobe, literally! I purchased several pairs of the compression pants, thus, helping my workout clothes grow into a full collection. It's fabulous being able to wear something that allows me to move freely, doesn't constrict my breathing in ways that other compression pants do and it really does help tuck in the areas I don't like on my body (tummy, thighs, love handles, etc.). I love how they stretch with you as you move...they don't bunch down when I run (just a tad really) . That's why I would rather wear the activewear rather than any old pair of sweatpants!

Plus, the colors and style are great, simple enough & really comfortable to run errands in and yet, it motivates me enough to go to the gym knowing I will look great (at least I think so). It definitely increases my stamina in that I don't have to waste my time pulling up my pants while I run or do my workouts. LOL
I love Old Navy's Active line. I have to admit, 90% of my workout clothes are from Old Navy just because they are so versatile and they are just too affordable to pass up (compared to Athleta and other brands). So I was very happy to participate in Crowdtap's sample share to try out the new active wear at Old Navy.
I took my sister with me so that she can experience how it is to be a Crowdtapper! We tried out several outfits before deciding. We even got the fitting room lady to enjoy the experience with us. She just laughed at us as we went through 10 different outfits. My sister and I were sweating like crazy! We ended up picking similar outfits!! ;)
Thanks Crowdtap and Old Navy for another awesome experience!!!

The Old Navy Style Council: One Free Decorated Tank Top

I was running out of time and alas, I was finally able to redeem my free embellished tank top at Old Navy on the day the coupon expired (July 21, 2011). San Luis Obispo isn't really that far from my home but I only make a special trip to drive there for Old Navy and Costco. So today I definitely made a special trip there with my kids just to go and take advantage of this great opportunity. I had one hour before my kids' swim lessons began so I had to rush down to SLO, browse through the store in a limited time and rushed right back to make it in time for my kids' swim lessons!

I was pleasantly surprised with the many different styles and colors still available. Some of the tank tops were already on clearance so my sizes (small or medium) were already gone. But there were still plenty of styles to choose from, so I wasn't too disappointed. As I mentioned before, I didn't have a lot of time so I just went through the women's department pretty quickly and just started grabbing all the tank tops I liked in my size. I went to the clearance department to grab a white skirt to try to match it with and of course (what I was afraid of), I found some other cool stuff that were just too cute to pass up. Then I looked at the time and realized, DARN, I don't have enough time to try anything on!!

I bought this skirt for $9.99:

this pair of sandals for $5.49:

this pair of black flats for $16.50:

and last but not least, this awesome tank top for FREE:

I had the Crowdtap coupon for the free tank top, a 25% off one item coupon along with my $20 Rewards Card that I earned from using my Old Navy Rewards Visa card so my grand total for everything was a whole $8.64! I was so ecstatic to get a whole outfit and then some for less than the price of a meal!

I couldn't wait to get home to try everything on...but unfortunately, I had to wait after swim lessons. But as soon as I got home, I tried them on and sadly the tank top was too big. :( It is 100% cotton so I'm contemplating whether or not to either just to exchange it or just wash it and hope it shrinks. Either way, I am stoked at how great the color looks on me and it goes great with my new white skirt and my Steve Madden cowgirl-type boots. It's gonna be a great outfit to wear to the Midstate Fair!

I am loving being a part of the Old Navy Style Council. This was my 3rd sample share and I am just so happy to have been chosen again. My friends are loving it too. I have shared the coupons with 6 of my friends and they are all so grateful for the wonderful "gift" I have given them. I am so excited about all the great opportunities to sample Old Navy products and to be able to share my experience with others. Thank you so much Old Navy and Crowdtap!!!

UPDATE: I went back to Old Navy to try to exchange the tank top I originally got but there weren't any more in the size I needed so I exchanged it for this tank top instead. This is my complete Old Navy outfit!

Old Navy Shorts Party!!!

Click to play this Smilebox slideshow
My friends and I had such a fabulous time at Old Navy (in San Luis Obispo, CA) trying on many different outfits and even some of the same exact outfits! Great minds think alike. :) I had originally planned it to be like the "Supermarket Sweeps" game show, where we were supposed to sweep through the store grabbing as many outfits as we could in a short amount of time and then try them on all real quick. We were only planning to be there for an hour due to other events we had to attend, but we ended up being at Old Navy for two hours! Plus it was kind of silly to think we would have room to have all 4 of us try on the outfits in the fitting rooms...on a SATURDAY. The place was packed!! There were long lines for the fitting rooms so we ended up taking over both fitting rooms in the men's section.

I was slightly irritated as well with customer service since I asked for the store manager right when we walked in, and this young kid who was an acting manager, gave me attitude right away saying the store's too busy for us to be doing the party. I explained to him that it was the only day that worked for all 4 of us so we had no choice. He told me that he had to talk to another manager (another young kid) and as I explained to her what was going on, with letter in hand, she told me she had to call someone to confirm the letter. So as we stood there for close to 10 mins waiting for her to get back, we just walked around and browsed through the racks. When she came back, she was still skeptical that the letter & the booklet I showed her were "real". So I had to show her the Crowdtap website on my phone to let her know I wasn't making it all up. *Sigh* But customer service did redeem themselves throughout our shopping experience. One in particular was very helpful as he made sure we were OK while we were trying on our outfits and he even helped take pics of us. Then at the checkout lane, the cashiers were shocked when we used our coupons but they were all very nice and accommodating. It all started out on the wrong foot but even though it didn't quite go as planned, we still had a really good time!

My friends Jenn, Corinne and Tiff were very excited to be able to partake in this Old Navy Shorts Party. I was really happy to be able to give them FREE outfits and shoes!! We ended up getting close to $375 worth of clothing and shoes for free. So thank you sooooooo much Crowdtap for picking me to host this party!!!! We love all the clothes and shoes. We heart you Old Navy and Crowdtap! :)
